False Creek

10 / 365
False Creek as seen from Vanier Park. The Burrard Street Bridge can be seen at the right of the photograph, with the Granville Street bridge just visible behind it.

In the 19th Century, an English sailor attempted to use it as a shortcut to reach the Burrard Inlet, only to discover that it did not connect. Disappointed, he gave it the name False Creek.

Beautiful reflections. False Creek is an excellent name (like Doubtful Sound in NZ).
