Last night was the second night of the Celebration of Light annual fireworks festival in Vancouver. It was Brazil's turn to compete, with Italy completing the competition on Saturday.
This was taken from Burrard Bridge, looking over English Bay. An estimated 400,000 people line the shores of the bay, and the bridge's walkway was completely full of photographers and spectators. Fortunately I got there early enough to secure a good spot!
In the foreground, the False Creek Ferries are putting on a ballet with their fleet of water taxis.
I'm a British software developer and photographer living in Vancouver, BC. I mainly photograph landscapes, cityscapes, night scenes, and water.

LOVE this! Such a cool shot Alexis. The tracers from the ferries are delightful.
Did they shut the bridge to traffic while you were up there? I watched the fireworks from there about 10 years ago, I remember the crowds being jam-packed on the bridge deck, not much traffic could get through even if it wanted to, but at least the crowds were happy! It was worth it, what a great view. Glad you got such a super spot to set up your tripod. :) This is one fantastic pic!
Love it :)
