Fireworks launched from a barge moored in the Burrard Inlet near Canada Place marked the end of the 2013 Canada Day celebrations in Vancouver.
The buildings of downtown Vancouver can be seen to the right of the fireworks, as well as the five 'sails' on the roof of Canada Place. In the middle of the photo is the Lions Gate Bridge, with the dark area between the bridge and downtown being Stanley Park.
On the water to the left of the fireworks you can see light trails from some of the many boats watching the fireworks display.
This is a four-photograph panorama taken from West Vancouver. Needs to be viewed large!

Magnificent shot. All the different light sources look amazing. Clear fav. Thanks for viewing and faving my 6-month collage - it really means a great deal to me.
That is quite possibly the best photo I have seen in a very long time.....maybe ever!! I am in awe! Am pleased I posted Canadian Maple syrup as a salute to you Canadians yesterday!! :0)
Another stunning shot. Was this stitched in camera, or post-shooting? And what is the yellow flare on the top right? You are fortunate that there must be a good vantage point for capturing these shots.
@princessm Thank you :) My camera doesn't do in-camera stitching, although even if it did I would always choose to stitch in post-processing for maximum control and flexibility.
The yellow flare is smoke from the Lehigh Hanson cement plant in Delta, just over 25km from where I took the photo. It's reflecting the sodium lights of the plant below, causing it to appear yellow/orange.
Wonderful shot Alexis. You're right it does need to be viewed large to do it justice. Wonderful colour and light I bet this looks magnificent blown to large size. Great image.
