Currently low tide is coinciding with sunset, so I was able to get out quite close to these rock formations at a coastal access point in West Vancouver.
I was hoping for the sun to light up the underside of the clouds that came in from the west, but this didn't happen. The colours of the sunset did manage to break through in places though, giving some nice warm colour to the sky.
I used a 10-stop ND filter and 3-stop graduated ND filter for this shot, giving me a shutter speed of 2.5 minutes. This allowed me to smooth out the water, as well as capture the movement in the clouds.
