Three of my favorite barn cats. The little calico is playful, curious, and fearless. I tried to get a picture of her playing with the dogs, but the dogs wouldn't cooperate. They prefer chasing to playing, though she usually marches right up to them and starts pouncing. She and her two brothers (playing "king of the mountain" with a box inside) are still in their wonderfully playful kitten stage.
Ebony tangled with a rattlesnake this summer. The mark under his eye is the path from the venom. Luckily it wasn't a bad bite and we were able to treat him right away. He is a sleek, handsome fellow.
