The goldfinches were visiting some sunflower seed heads I've put in my hanging planters for the winter. Unfortunately, these males are rather territorial, and no more than one at a time could feed. Here is one fellow's solution to the problem. While the aggressive one stayed up top, the other slid out of his line of sight and dined from the side.
