I had a wealth of patience when the children were young. Alas, it is in short supply these days. So, when I ended up waiting for a contractor I busied myself with picking up logs, bark, and sticks from when the tree man cut down all the dead trees in the yard. Youngest son came by, questioned my common sense at tackling this chore alone, and left me his leather gloves so I wouldn't get blisters.
