WOD: map Thought I might do a fun spoon/map image, but our Atlas is missing my home state. Then I noticed this old Sioux County map that showed all the sections and was colored by owners. This is the southern portion of the county, which is actually populated. The northern portion is quite wide open, uncolored, and says "United States of America" on large parcels. I was a bit disconcerted at the brittle tape and torn edges, so carefully rolled it back up and put it in a safer place. My kids will never know these old family names, but some of us old-timers might take a walk down memory lane with them.
