The concluding event of the Doggie Dash was a costume contest. Trying to break the Guiness World Record for the number of costumed dogs in one place, the society drew nearly 1,000 costumed dogs. Unfortunately, they fell short of the current record of 1,326 costumed dogs. Still, there was an amazing variety of costumes. The winner was the Labradoodle in the dancer costumer, while the Tibetan Mastiff puppy came in second. Youngest's favorite was Maleficent.
