I love the leaves of Portland just as much as the flowers. Said goodbye today where they are just beginning to change, giving me a hint of the glorious riot of color that is just around the corner. These are in the Japanese Garden, where the lace leaf red Japanese maple is still green. Some year I am going to visit that tree after it has turned, but it may have to wait until after youngest graduates, as her fall break comes too early in autumn.
