Memorial Day weekend brings visits to the local cemeteries with hints of local history. I know a bit about this headstone, because it was with this "Pioneer Attorney" that my father found his lifelong practice. J. E. Porter was a Canadian Barrister that established his practice when Ft. Robinson still housed soldiers and the West was still a bit wild.
@francoise I believe that was her maiden name. Also next to the headstone is a DAR emblem that shows one of her ancestors as a Captain Christopher Robinson.
Ok, you may have done it before, but I'm enjoying your album and am getting the sense that we may have some similar thought processes, so I'm curious to see what you'll do with forced perspective :-)
