This little pot of zinnias never made it into the garden proper, but they've been happily blooming where they were carelessly set for weeks now. Eldest left this morning. One more week with youngest before she returns to college. Summer's end is near.
Gorgeous detail! And such vibrant colors. Love it!
Get-pushed! I took a peak through your album, I love all your photos, I barely contained my want to comment on every one. I was inspired by your sparkler shot from a while back for this challenge... How about some light painting this week? You could paint with lights (I find the little key chain LEDs work great) or paint with fire (if you feel like playing with sparklers some more). Does that sound alright?
I have a pinterest board with some inspiration if that helps: https://www.pinterest.com/meganludgate/photography_light-and-fire/
@ludgate This is perfect! I have a sparkler idea I've wanted to try since July, and with youngest leaving at the end of the week I was going to try and push her into helping. Now I have a legitimate need!
Zinnias are my favorite southern flower as they require so little water in such high heats, and the vibrant colors are so lovely. Great capture of that color!
Gorgeous, vibrant zinnia colors....which reminds me that I have some seeds I need to scatter in the garden, especially now that it has sort of rained in San Diego this morning!!
