Tineke challenged me to try panning this week. I've not had much success with panning in the past, and I still need a lot of practice. This morning they were moving cattle, so I tried a few shots as the 4-wheeler whizzed back and forth. Just as I thought I was getting the hang of it they were done, though. I wasn't able to get a very sharp focus on youngest son, but I did like the blur. I'll have to see what else I can practice on.
Tineke @tstb I saw the 4-wheeler go whizzing by so I rushed out to try panning. I'm still not able to get a nice focus on my subject, but I do like the blur.
If your sons drive their 4wheelers anything like mine did they'd be downright hard to catch in focus at all! I like the definite feeling of motion this pic has.
