Mandy pushed me to "produce a dreamy type shot using a technique such as freelensing, tilt-shift, soft-focus, etc." In search of inspiration I revisited Arefin's album @wind_of_the_sothern_sea but my attempts to achieve anything akin to the dreamy quality of his work fell far short. Then I turned to April Milani @aprilmilani with her lensbaby work and Sandbox tutorial from last year with Alien Skin. I can't use Alien Skin, so I tapped into Taffy's @taffy new fun with Topaz Texture Effects, and this is what I've got for now. Taken with the lensbaby Edge 80 and processed in Lightroom and Topaz Texture Effects.
Mandy @emrob I used my lensbaby Edge 80 which has a border blur, and then tried adding a Topaz Texture Effect to give it a more dreamy quality. I had trouble coming up with a subject but I thought this angel might work and I thought the effects were a bit dreamy. What do you think?
