Suse @susale challenged me to do a diptych this week. I was near Carhenge just before dawn and decided to show the attraction to Lego Photographer. We weren't the only photographers there, either, and now I can see why. The light and shadows were very interesting! Unfortunately, I didn't have my wide angle lens, so you only get a partial view, but, then, Lego Photographer didn't have a wide angle lens either. For anyone in our area on August 21, 2017, Carhenge is along the path of Total Solar Eclipse and at 11:49 AM for 2 minutes and 30 seconds the skies will go dark. http://carhengesolareclipse2017.com/
@judithdeacon Thank you. Carhenge is just a few miles north of Alliance, Nebraska. It does provide a nice landscape for some of Nebraska's dramatic skies. It is also on the centerline of the August, 2017, total solar eclipse, and viewing sites and festivities are in the planning.
Suse @susale I got one diptych this week. I didn't realize how photogenic Carhenge was until I saw the sunrise light casting shadows through the structure. I may have to return in the early morning light again. Thank you for the push.
