The yard was filled with birds and the cats were huddled in the barn, garage, and old chicken coop. All were waiting out the snow, and snow it did. We had at least a foot of the heavy, wet, stuff which, by evening, had turned into a mix of huge wet puddles, soupy slush, and plenty of snow. A few broken and downed limbs, very droopy lilacs, but the electricity stayed on and it wasn't terribly cold.
