There is a small prairie dog town a short walk through the wheat field along the west side of the corn field in a pasture where the cows and calves are summering. The sun ducked behind some clouds about five minutes after I settled down to wait for the prairie dogs to come out of hiding. Oh well .. it was still a pretty evening, and soon enough one popped up and started chirping. I liked how unconcerned they were sharing their space with the cows and calves.
To see a bit more activity, here's an image in my other album: http://365project.org/aecasey/just-one-more/2016-08-09
