Returning home from the airport yesterday we came across a hawk sitting on the highway. As I slowed to get a photo (of course) he lifted off, carrying with him a very large, very heavy, bull snake. The snake was so heavy and awkward to carry the hawk stopped in the fair ground parking lot, so I followed. This is severely cropped, as every time I got near he flew further away and it seemed to be quite a struggle. I didn't want him to lose his dinner because I was intruding.
