dreaming of my parents' home by aecasey

dreaming of my parents' home

My push this week from Sally is to take a picture that shows a reflection or has a reflection as its focal point. My parents have lived in their home for over sixty years. It reflects both my mother's grace and love...her love of family, her love of friends, her love of community. My father's touch is there too, mostly centered around his spaces. The rest has my mother's feminine and gracious touch. It is also filled with mirrors, each holding a memory of a friend. I was so happy to catch a small reflection of home. It holds so many memories.
Sally @salza ... Another reflection, this time with focus on the reflection. Still not what I had planned, but I like seeing my parents' home through the mirror. Hope to try one more before the weekend is over.

Super composition. The chair looks inviting, just the place to loose oneself with a good book!

Hi April, my challenge to you is to try out home made filters. Here are some links to give you a few ideas... https://www.cnet.com/how-to/diy-photo-filters-with-everyday-objects/ http://content.photojojo.com/inspiration/photo-projects/ten-filter-ideas-on-the-cheap/ http://blog.befunky.com/5-diy-camera-filters-using-household-items/

Hope that suits.

Just realised one of the ideas - the plastic bag was my challenge this week. Clearly got into my psyche!

This really answers the challenge well with the reflections serving as a beautifully framed picture. Love the selective focus in this shot as well - the out of focus tea set under the mirror add that extra touch of romance to this lovely shot.
