This week Wendy challenged me to do a still life with some cut flowers. I was to set up a table near a window with the light falling sideways onto the flowers, build a still life with a few more objects that are sympathetic to the flowers and take a photograph by natural light with as wide open an aperture as you can manage. It was fun gathering stuff!
Wendy @farmreporter ... Here is my flower still life. I love this batch of cut flowers. Lovely pinks and purples...and I even got a new vase that I can draw on with chalk!
a nice vibrant still life! nice to see some beautiful color...we are still in the throes of winter...off and on...I am anxious for the color to come back!
Lovely colours., Good focus on them and the picture of the flower on the vase. Just enough detail in the out of focus areas to still know what the items are and add to the story without being a distraction. Very nice shot. Fav!
So sorry to get back to you so late - just catching up on commenting now!
Your DoF is great! I love how you composed this shot with the vase and the shears.
Everything works so well together. Congrats on making TP and you can add me as another FAV!
