These tiny white wildflowers dot the fields in small patches here and there. The grasses are getting quite tall, and the alfalfa is blooming, and it's time for the first cutting of hay. Though these are quite low to the ground, I wanted to get a photo before the swather came through. Sure enough, by evening the windrows had appeared. I'll venture out tomorrow to see if any of these survived the cutting.
@ludwigsdiana Thank you! I did use my macro lens, but your camera has a macro function (the flower) and I bet it works great. As for the soft focus, you can see in my Exif information that I had my aperture set at f2.8 ... kind of like having your pupil dilated. When it's open like that you have a narrower field of focus which gives you soft backgrounds or super bokeh. You can set your aperture ... turn the dial on your camera to "A" and then pick your setting. f8-11 is common for landscapes ... f5.6 for normal shots ... between f2.8 and f5.6 softens your backgrounds. I'm a sucker for bokeh and blur so I tend to shoot more open. As for my composition ... I focused on the front flower and then recomposed. Give it a try!
