I was surprised to find a few of these little yellow goldfinches in the yard. I thought they all migrated. I can't feed birds in the yard anymore because of the barn cats, but I have been thinking of gleaning some sunflower seed heads from the harvested fields and putting them up in the windbreaks. If the wind will just go down, that's on my "to do" list.
