It's cold! It's snowing. With sub-zero wind chills, I fully intended to remain inside. Then, I saw these delicate beauties, so I bundled up and hauled my gear outside. Since it was so cold and my macro lens seems to be getting persnickety, I used extension tubes on my 50mm with my ring light. Even broke out the tripod, though whether I was holding the camera or holding the flake, it seems there was always just that bit of shake. This was the best of the lot.
@lesip Thank you...this was looking down though the flake was on the edge of my cap so I could get some open space behind it when I held it under the lens. Trial and error with a tripod. Never have tried that before. Certainly helps with the shake but does pose a problem with focus and extension tubes.
