We've had two beautiful days. Lots of birds have returned to the prairie and waterways. Took advantage of the weather and visited mom. Closed window visit. More positive covid cases in her facility, some of whom had been vaccinated. The facility still follows the 14 days quarantine rules, starting over with each new case. I thought the vaccines were going to give her some freedom, but not as long as the early pandemic rules apply and the vaccination rate remains low. Around here that is a widespread personal choice with negative impacts for everyone.
Sorry to hear of the difficulties you are facing with your mom. We found early on that those through the window visits were better than none at all...for all of us. Hard having an elderly parent during this. Your heron is beautiful...maybe a sign of better things to come
I'm afraid covid is a long way from being over yet. In the UK, we now have another new variant to contend with.
