Everything I watched and read said "get down low" for horse photos. I think they might be right. The horses all crossed the creek and headed up a hill on the other side. I was down in the creek bottom, looking up. Great angle!
My friend originally asked for a contrasty black and white photo she could make a LARGE canvas print with. Hence my concern over sharpness, though, as I understand it, canvas is forgiving. She is now considering a wall collage, so maybe I needn't worry about print size, but I don't yet know. After editing this batch I ordered some 8x10's to see how they turn out. I did not get the sharp focus on the eyes I like, but black and white and editing has helped. Fingers crossed, as I'm not sure I can get similar compositions again.
