JackieR challenged me to take a photograph that typifies the past twelve months. Between the pandemic and mom's struggles the first nine months were stressful. Mom's lifeline is her phone on which she texts her daily stream of consciousness which, as a 94 year old widow who misses her home, husband, and family and faces daily health challenges, is not uplifting. Still, she seems to have turned a corner, and the last few months have been better. Taking on the horse photography project also helped me turn a corner too. Hoping we will all have a better 2022.
April, this is such a powerful photograph, and narrative. You have portrayed your year so well, I do so hope my challenge wasn't distressing to complete.
