surprise squash

Youngest son's garden held numerous surprises this year. They had composted a variety of decorative squash and gourds late last fall, and were greeted with a variety of plants. Everyone is having fun discovering new surprises hidden in the leaves and vines. This one looked great in b&w.

Thanks so much for your info re Portland Japanese gardens. I will check it out though it is 4 1/2 hours away

@jgpittenger I recalled you said you would visit Tilikum next time you visited Portland but had no idea when or how often you might get there. While my daughter was in college there I timed my visits to her breaks, which never hit peak leaf change 🙁
