There were several monarchs in the windbreaks this evening. Just after sunset I saw them gather in a tree to settle in for the night. Hopefully more will arrive. It was five years ago that a migration came through with hundreds gathering in the trees. It would be so special to see that again, though I am really happy to see as many as I've seen this year. Noticeably more than last year.
