It was a cool morning with thunderstorms. The monarch stayed put, weathering the rain under it's black-eyed susan umbrella. I enjoyed watching it for several hours. The sun finally came out around noon. I watched it stretch it wings once or twice, and then it was on its way. Wishing it safe travels.
