This week's Capture52 Challenge theme is "Silhouettes."
This is the time of year where the crows come in to roost in some foredunes at a nearby beach. They fly in each night around 6:00 by the many hundreds, pretty much all at once and it is a craaaazy sight to behold! They crowd the streets, trees, power lines etc. and it's a feast for the eyes and ears. I know some folks are perturbed (and some disturbed) by them, but I am completely enamored with these intelligent corvids. We may not have all the changing leaves, but this is our autumn and I love it! ...Be prepared for more. ;-)
They didn't come through this year- thank goodness because I don't like the noise- but we have had massive amounts of Grackles fly through our woods on occasion. The trees are covered with black dots and it scares all the other birds away. It might be so bad in the type of environment you're talking about though. Good shot!
