While camping at Valley of Fire (an incredibly gorgeous state park in Nevada about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas), we had heard there were bighorn sheep spotted in the area earlier. So of course we loaded our gear and went "hunting", not really expecting to find any. Timing is everything, as they say, and this old man was actually less than a quarter mile from our campsite just hanging out as casual as you please! As it turned out, this was the first of several incredible sightings--how cool is that?!
Isn't Valley of the Fire awesome! I went through there in April of this year - beautiful wildflowers and spectacular rock formations! I'm anxious to hear all about your trip! This guy looks like he's butted a few heads in his time.
