But only because I didn't have a camera when we actually SAW one today!! Started out the day by heading to Figueroa Mountain which is famous for its wildflowers this time of year. It is solid orange from the poppies and I expected lots of people, but I certainly did NOT expect Disneyland busy!! We couldn't even get close to the place so had to settle for this poor quality snapshot from some distance away. So, we turned around and went fossil hunting instead (score!) and then headed for a short hike in a park I'd never even heard of before. We picked a trail to head up and had barely even started before we spotted something on the trail a little way ahead of us. At first we thought it was a large bobcat but then it turned and we saw the long tail. SO FREAKIN COOL! I was never scared and we were never in danger, but of course decided to take a different trail after that. ...although I must admit to wanting to follow it for a better look. On the other trail we actually did come across a bobcat as well as a large coyote. All this wildlife in under an hour--What a magnificent day!
The photo is certainly beautiful enough , but a huge FAVE for your enthusiastic and excited commentary! Reading it is like hearing you tell me personally! That was fabulous! Your excitement here is totally contagious! Wow! (All I saw today was my one small raccoon... ; )
Sounds as if fate provided brilliant substitutes for what you missed because of the crowds. I love the composition of this shot, the colours and processing, fav for me.
