Visited Peru with some family and friends about 12 years ago now. I would love to go back and reshoot the entire trip now that I finally have half an idea of how to use a camera! This child was on one of the floating islands in Lake Titicaca. The women and girls seem to do all the work and really take their jobs seriously.
I seem to be falling further and further behind in my posting and commenting--my apologies to all you kind folks!
fab. we went to peru about 13 years ago (and bolivia, and argentina, uraguay) i LOVED it. i just wish i had had a good camera then as all my pics are a bit of a grainy mess. this however is wonderful.
This has a very vintage feeling to it Jenn. I've also been to Peru twice....and wish I had better equipment to capture the beauty of the people and land.
This photo records the culture very well. It is funny how many comments state they are sorry they didn't have better cameras, because my wife went to Peru way back in 1984 with a good Konica SLR. It broke, and she had to use an Olympus point and shoot. Her photos were still pretty darn good.
