We got to observe these magnificent creatures up close (but not TOO close) and personal on our trip to Alaska last summer. (Holy cow, it's been almost a year already!)
These were on the Katmai Peninsula, so ready to return!
@derekvickers Well, she was running toward me, but I was up higher and really in no danger. She was after fish, of which there was LOTS to choose from!
We can just see the fish, in their red spawning colors, under the surface, and that adds a lot to the story. A very good action nature shot that deserves a bunch of favs.
