I decided that July is my A-Z challenge month, and the feather girls decided they're going to get into as many pics as possible (as long as they are in the right mood, otherwise they might just flap off or eat the camera).
So today's pic is brought to you by the word 'almond' and the beautiful Phoenix :)
@lbmcshutter I struggle sometimes! The main giveaways are that Phoenix has a ring on her leg, and Magic doesn't, Phoenix is left footed and Magic is right footed, and Phoenix has more even yellow on her wings than Magic does. Phoenix does have a bit of a distinctive look with her eyes too - she tends to be more focussed, while Magic is more playful. If she's on my head, it's probably Phoenix, on my hands or tummy it will be Magic... I'll set up a quiz soon :)
@murnane I think all birds love nuts :) The trick is not giving them too many! My girls only get them as special treats, when we're trying to train new tricks, or when I need them to pose for a photo (or in Magic's case, when she spots one somewhere and snaffles it before I find it!).
