Allison, I would think Ex Ed could happen nearly anywhere! Our program starts in K with hiking, the children are camping in tents for 3-4 nights by 4th grade, and have a weeklong Outward Bound type trip in 8th grade! Each year is a different experience. (In 6th grade they do a 3-day x-country hut trip, thus the ongoing - from K! - x-country ski experience.) It's a pretty great program, helping to focus on creating well-rounded human beings!
