My homework assignment

Cat's Collar
Today I reached far back in a drawer
and pulled out something unexpected and long forgotten.
I smiled when I saw again this superhero cape
created at my son's request.
My son is grown and gone.
The cat for whom this was created, long dead.
And yet the sense of possibilities still hovers around this worn and broken collar,
The adventures of my boy and his cat,
Replayed again in my memory.

Wow! That was pretty clever...I never was good at creating Halloween costumes for my kids let alone a pet. Probably why I shy away form Halloween parties even today! Kudos to you! Bet Max loved it! You will have to call him to tell him about your find!
