The Grand Re-Opening

All this week the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) is celebrating a renovation and expansion that will add some 165,000 square feet to its pre-existing 380,000 square foot building, placing it among the top ten comprehensive art museums in the United States. Words can not describe the beauty and vision of this newly enlarged structure. As members we got to attend a special opening yesterday. The general public is invited to free events all this weekend. The big donors had special previews earlier in the week. There was such a buzz of excitement in the air. This new VMFA warrants many return visits! I like the variety of shots you included in your collage. Think I will wait a few weeks and go back...that upcoming Tiffany Exhibit sounds like ti will be good!
