Give me that old time religion
give me that old time religion
Give me that old time religion
It's good enough for me
Makes me love everybody
Makes me love everybody
Makes me love everybody
It's good enough for me
(Traditional Gospel song from 1873)
After church this morning I ducked into the History Room to look at the memorabilia on display. Westminster Presbyterian Church has a history in Richmond dating back to 1889 when it began as an offshoot of First Presbyterian Church. This photo of a boys' class has no date, but from what I can observe, mischievousness is part of a boy's nature, no matter what the time period.
Oh yes....just look at those impish grins! Of course the story of Finn is perfectly true! He did a great building job. I adore being at the Causeway and go as often as I can. Eliot's been there as well!
PS - yes, Eliot gets his ears wet.... sometimes I trim them a bit but his long hair is part of his character. Am thinking abut getting him trimmed a wee bit.
This is a great vintage photo. I agree with you that mischievousness has always been a part of young boy's nature since the beginning of time. The song lyrics that you included seem most appropriate.
Just a great photo!
Imagine all those people are no longer here - all grown up, married and families etc.
A generation you didn't know! Just great historical stuff!!!

Thank you for your comment on my lilac photo today - yes, I did boost the color a bit. Guilty as charged. :)
