These Indonesian shadow puppets are over one hundred years old. They are made from water buffalo hide which is then painted and pierced so the light can shine through. A collection of these valuable figures was donated to the art department of our school. To see an excerpt from an actual shadow play, follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fVxPoRu2bw
