First I was going to call it "silver dollar" but looking at the edge of the coin, you can see this 1976 Eisenhower dollar is not silver at all. First we went off the gold standard then we corrupted our silver coins with lesser metals. Is it any wonder we have no faith in our economy?

I agree with Rick ( @digitalrn ); Money is merely a token to record transactions, and when the people ask to cash it they find that it exists only in the imagination, with insufficient funds to back it up. We might as well ditch our dollars and pounds and cut notches in a stick or search the beach for cowrie shells!
great macro shot allison the DOF works really well...your narratives are always interesting in that you can always raise debating points in your words ...maybe it's not faith in the economy.....maybe it's faith in the politicians and even less faith in the banks ...on the subject of politicians...hope i'm not going into dangerous territory here, the image projected of your president in the press over here (or the image i interpret) is that of a great statesman... i'd have faith in him !...oh err maybe i should not make statements like that on 365 ...but hey your commentary and words evoked that statement Allison :)
