Last week I posted a question on the discussion page about getting better macros with my bridge camera. I did not want to invest in a DSLR and a separate macro lens. Alexis Birkill @abirkill suggested I try the Raynox DCR-250 Super Macro Snap-On Lens which I subsequently ordered from Amazon for about $79. This little wooden figure is about an inch and a half long, and I think it came out pretty well. Not all my attempts have been as successful, but I am experimenting and figuring out which shots are the best to use this device. I would not have been able to take the close up of the linen table mat and the pendant with this because of the shallow DOF, but for a single item it does allow me to get extra close.
Isn't it amazing what you can learn on this site? I'm working backwards through your project, trying to catch up so I just learned from this shot about the snap on lens. I have never heard of that. Will have to check it out.
