Macro Comparison by allie912

Macro Comparison

Thought I'd show you a side-by-side comparison of my camera's built-in macro capability on the right and the tighter shot of the super macro snap-on lens on the left. The only negative of the super macro is that the SOOC image is not as sharp as the one taken with the camera's built-in lens. Despite that, it is fun to play with and I can see using it a lot once the bugs come out in warmer weather.
Beautiful

Is it an iPhone? Both shots are great! Phone cams are amazing now!

@allie912 ha! I guess now the word "camera" is synonymous with "phone!" Lol! Remember years ago when we all said "camera phone" for our online that had a very shoddy camera.......

They're both pretty- I can see where your snap-on lens will be better for certain kinds of shots and the in-camera macro will be better for others. You're going to have a lot of fun discovering which works best where!

Lovely flowers! I love experimenting with lenses and have definitely decided which two I like best -- my 50 mm and my 18 to 135 mm lens.

Nice comparison shot. I find I'm using the built-in macro on my point and shoot constantly. Really want to get a macro lens for the dslr . . . one of these days. But it is amazing how well the point and shoots work, isn't it?
