Guard House by allie912

Guard House

John and I had dinner in Carytown this evening to celebrate our anniversary. Every time I walk through this quirky neighborhood, I see something new. This little structure was adjacent to a parking area for a music store. It reminded me of the little structures soldiers who stand guard for the Queen use to keep out of the rain. I didn't attempt to see what was behind the door.
Just realized I have hit 2500 photos. That's a kind of anniverary too!
It does look like a place for soldiers who stand guard. Happy anniversaries to you!

Happy Anniversary!! Reminds me of the guard houses of Buckingham Palace (although I have only seen pictures- never been there. But did you go when you were there?)

@olivetreeann We were lucky enough to have gotten tickets for a tour of Buckingham Palace on a previous trip I took with John. This time I only had time to go from Heathrow to Oxford and back again.

@allie912 Well, then you have seen them and actually what you did on this trip sounded so interesting and wonderful- maybe even moreso than a trip to the palace!
