The Oscars of children’s literature were announced today, live from the midwinter meeting of the American Library Association held this year in Seattle. I’m delighted to say we already had the major winners in our collection and any additional titles appropriate for our Jk-4th grade students will be ordered tomorrow. Librarians get pretty excited about this, which you would quickly realize as you hear the shrieks of delight when the winners are announced.
