A Miracle by allie912

A Miracle

William Blake wrote, "To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower." Carrying a camera around has certainly made me mindful of the miracles that surround us. Here is the seed pod of a Sweet Gum or Gum Ball tree. Astonishing, isn't it?
Very pretty

wow! Love how you have contrasted this against the stone. One of my followers sent me this quote because, like you, I love to see the tiny details in nature. The construction of this seed pod is indeed astonishing.

That is mind-blowing. How big is it, Allison?

Whether you look at nature in the big picture (The expanse of the Grand Canyon or the granduer of the Rockies) or focus on the details (as with your sweet gum) it truly is amazing. What strikes me about this picture is how fresh it is- since it's green. I'm used to seeing them when they're brown and dried up. Great shot- I too like the contrast with the stones.
