If you live anywhere on the East Coast of the United States, you know we are expecting a few days in the deep freeze after a very balmy December. Unfortunately these flowering trees didn't keep up with the forecasters and decided to wear their springtime blossoms. I hope this recklessness doesn't lead to permanent problems.
So pretty to see at this typically dreary time of year, but it can't be good for the trees. We're finally supposed to get some winter-like temperatures... after a few days in the 50's, tomorrow is supposed to be only 26 and tomorrow night is supposed to drop into the teens.
My mum always said that as soon as the trees started to blossom, you would get lots of windy days to follow. Seems to be the way here, What time do they normally start to flower up in your half of the world
Somebody's internal clock is off! I'm not sure what happens when they bloom this early. You could probably go on line to an environmental website and find out. Pretty shot though!
