This group of First Graders posed with their teacher as they were getting ready to go home. They had been celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday a day early. The renowned children's author was actually born on March 2, but because our Spring Break starts on the 2nd, we won't be at school for the celebration. The mustaches are in place in honor of the Once-Ler, a character from The Lorax. This environmental parable was created by Dr. Seuss many years ago and is opening in theaters tomorrow as an animated movie. I'm sure everyone in this group will be eager to see the movie over Spring Break.
