Today was Recycling Day in our neighborhood which normally wouldn't inspire me to take a picture, but what should I spot right next to this family's recycling bin, but the same little teddy from last week. http://365project.org/allie912/whatintheworld/2012-07-31
I can't believe no one has rescued him or even moved him to a nicer spot. I wonder if the trash collectors will take him. Usually they only collect items in the proper receptacles. Maybe someone will take this little guy home to their child. If he is still there the next time I walk by, I am swooping down and taking him home. No teddy should have to lay forgotten on a sidewalk for more than a week. It just isn't humane. (or ursine)
You're good-hearted, Allie... Could he find a place on the counter at the library? Maybe with The Velveteen Rabbit...I'm sure there's more than one story about an abandoned toy...
Poor Teddy isn't recyclable, so I doubt they'd take him. I think you need to pick him up off the street - give him a little cleaning and TLC and find a place for him! :)
