Rescued!

To all teddy bear fans who encouraged me to save this little orphan, I am happy to say the rescue went off without a hitch. After a night in the rain, the poor thing was soggy and begrimed. I picked her up gingerly and kept on walking quickly til I had left her block of abandonment far behind. Now that she is dry, I will give her a good cleaning and figure out whether she is a home body or a library bear. Any suggestions for a good name?

Oh, I'm so glad you rescued her - what a mess! I think you should bring her to the library, type up a little story about how you rescued her, and then have a "Name the Lost Bear" contest.

"Bearly" .... I had a (white) Samoyed puppy to whom I once gave that name... So pleased you rescued her!

I'm so glad the bear is safe -- I like Joyce's idea, but in the meantime you could call her Beartha -- if she's a female.

I would name that bear Miracle, because it was a miracle that someone like you found it and was thoughtful enough to pick it up, clean it , and give it a home for kids to enjoy.
